This is an itinerary for an overnight stay in San Vicente. You can adjust the times and the places to visit depending on your schedule and preferences. Also included are the possible expenses this itinerary will incur.

Before reading further, note that this itinerary assumes that:

There are at least two of you which mean you’ll split the expenses.
You have a P1000 per night budget for accommodation. You’ll spend at least P500 a night.
You’ll arrive at Puerto Princesa Airport and will then travel to San Vicente on the day of your arrival.

07:30 am – Take a tricycle to San Jose Terminal, P60/person (P120/2)
08:00 am – Get on a van bound for San Vicente, P300
12:00 pm – Arrive at San Vicente
12:30 pm – Check-in, P500/person (P1000/2)
01:00 pm – Lunch, P100
02:00 pm – Long Beach Tour, P250/person (P500/2)
04:00 pm – Erawan Beach (included)
06:00 pm – Return to Poblacion
07:00 pm – Dinner, P100

Note: The times listed above are approximations. You may do things later or earlier depending on your pace.

Tip: Save money by staying at a cheaper accommodation or join a larger group. Tours often cost the most. Take note that a boat in San Vicente can carry up to four people. You’ll spend less by forming a group of at least four.

Other Options

Go island-hopping the day after which means you’ll add P3000/boat (up to 4 persons) if you stay in Poblacion. If you plan to leave and go back to Puerto Princesa after touring, you might spend P3400/person.
Go to Port Barton and spend a night there. If the Magdalena has a scheduled trip during your visit, you can take the boat for P150 and join a tour from Port Barton which will then cost you P800/person. Travel to El Nido and spend more time there. Many choose this route while exploring Palawan. You can read more about El Nido here: El Nido Travel Guide.
You can return to Poblacion and try to get on the last bus bound for Puerto Princesa City. If you take this route, you’ll have to skip Erawan Beach and will just have to visit San Vicente as a long and tiring day trip.
